Pregnancy Symptoms
When it comes to being pregnant, there are a number of symptoms that a woman can expect. Some are very common and others are more rare, but pregnancy symptoms are often universal in that they effect every mom-to-be.
A pregnant woman may notice nausea, sensitivity to certain foods and/or smells, dizziness, fatigue and morning sickness in the early days of pregnancy.
A woman’s body begins to change soon after conception and this means that prenatal care should begin as quickly as possible.
In addition, early detection of pregnancy is important in that certain lifestyle changes may be in order. Among them, avoiding air travel and cigarette smoke, alcohol and other products that could prove to be a health hazard for both the expectant mother and her unborn child.
A woman who believes that she may be pregnant should consult a licensed medical doctor to confirm the best method of ensuring the health of herself and her unborn child.

Facts and Symptoms Regarding Pregnancy
Pregnancy is an important stage for every woman bringing joy in the family but on the other hand, pregnancy involves many changes in women’s body and lifestyle. Even though being pregnant is not a disease, there are certain symptoms that indicate a possible pregnancy. Much more, pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman but most of them are the same in every case. In addition to this, signs of a possible pregnancy usually occur within a week of conception or several weeks or even cannot be present at all.
For instance, a first sign which may indicate the presence of pregnancy is the lack of menstrual cycle. Moreover some women may have a light bleeding or they can face another pregnancy symptom which usually appears in less than 2 weeks from conceptions and it is known as implantation bleeding. This symptom occurs when the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall, producing in this way bleeding and sometimes cramps.
Secondly, a common symptom of pregnancy which usually occurs or not between 2-8 weeks after conceptions is the morning sickness. Many women feel nausea at the beginning of their pregnancy and even during it and much more they may feel sick because of certain foods and odors. On the other hand, some women may feel the strong desire to eat certain dishes or even foods that used to hate before their pregnancy.
Some other signs which may show a possible pregnancy are some changes that affect the woman’s body. In addition to this some of these changes are the swollen or tender breasts, lower backaches, the sudden rise of hormones in the body that might cause headaches, swollen ankles and also weight gain. Pregnant women may notice some changes on their breasts, the skin around their nipples may get darker, a symptom which may have other explanations, such as hormonal imbalances or may be a leftover effect from previous pregnancies.
Thirdly, other sign which is related to pregnancy is the frequent urination. This sign may confirm the presence of a pregnancy only if it comes along with other signs of pregnancy. On the other hand, frequent urination may be caused by the urinary tract infection, diabetes or increasing liquid intake. What is more is that some pregnancy symptoms may be changes in women’s behaviour like feeling tired or sensitive, some things might made them angry or cry out of the blue.
To conclude, even though pregnancy is a normal thing which occurs to almost all women, it requires lots of attention and the change of lifestyle. Most of women can esily know if they are pregnant and can handle very well the pregnancy symptoms which sometimes may tend to be hard to carry on.

How far along were YOU when you got morning sickness and other pregnancy symptoms?
My husband and I are going to start TTC soon and before we do, I want to get all the advice and info I can =] So let me know if you have any advice and feel free to share any personal experiences.
So when did you start getting (if at all):
-Morning sickness
-Heartburn
-Frequent urination
-Sore breats/nipples
-Headaches
-Fatigue
-How long did it take you to conceive?
-And what other symptoms did you have?
Thanks! =D
It took my husband 11 months off of birth control, and three months of active TTC all caps to get pregnant. (I was on Clomid those last three months, and the last month used pre-seed as well. I highly recommend!) I’m 8 weeks 1 day, and indigestion was the one thing that made me guess I might be pregnant. I went out to eat with my dad at 8dpo and my indigestion was awful. The next day I had little twinges in my belly, and when I tested, at 9dpo, I got a positive. I haven’t had morning sickness, heartburn, frequent urination, headaches… In the very beginning my nipples were sore, but only for about a week. Fatigue has been the bane of my existence since about five weeks. I’m a slug, I have trouble getting up off the couch. Luckily, I’m in my last semester of school and have classes twice a week, so five days out of seven, I can be a slug. Nobody really tells you about all the gas, though. I burp all day long, and I was never like that before, and more foods than ever give me bad gas. Cramps after orgasm is normal too, I got so freaked out the first time I had cramps, I ran to the internet to look it up, so relax if that happens.
I hope this has helped you, although I know no sickness is very unusual! Good luck with your ttc journey!
Sleep Apnea Sickness – What is It All About?
Some 30 million Americans are victims of a sleep disorder called sleep apnea sickness or in other terms obstructive sleep apnea, sleep apnea or central sleep apnea. Numerous others are predisposed and have a high risk of developing the sickness. Adult males, have the highest odds at about 50/50 that their breathing is not normal when they are sleeping. It is very important that anyone who might be experiencing this problem is predisposed, or knows someone they care about who has this sickness, should have a clear and concise understanding about it.
What you can do about sleep apnea:
The following steps help many people with sleep apnea sleep better:
Stop all use of alcohol or sleep medicines as they relax the muscles in the back of the throat, making it harder for you to breathe.
Sleep on your side or hip instead of your back. Find a high quality side sleeper pillow for maximum comfort
If you are overweight, lose weight.
If you still have problems, speak to your doctor. There are special masks that you can wear over your nose and mouth while you are sleeping. This mask is called a “continuous positive airway pressure,” or CPAP. It will keep your airway open by adding pressure to the air you breathe. The mask helps most people with sleep apnea. Surgery may be necessary, in a very few cases, to remove extra tissue or tonsils from the throat.
Additional information on Sleep Apnea:
Sleep apnea occurs in all age groups and both sexes but is more common in men (and it may be under diagnosed in women). It has been estimated that as many as 18 million Americans have sleep apnea. Four percent of middle-aged men and 2 percent of middle-aged women have sleep apnea along with excessive daytime sleepiness. People most likely to have or develop sleep apnea include those who snore loudly and also are overweight, or have high blood pressure, or have some physical abnormality in the nose, throat, or other parts of the upper airway. Sleep apnea sickness seems to run in some families, suggesting a possible genetic basis.
Symptoms of Sleep Apnea:
Fatigue and tiredness during the day is one symptom of sleep apnea. Another symptom is loud snoring; if the loud snoring is repeatedly punctuated by brief periods of silence or choking sounds, the individual is certain to have obstructive sleep apnea.
Ways that sleep apnea affects your Life:
Actually, sleep apnea sickness may already have affected you more than you know. Chances are things will improve for you once the diagnosis is made. If your sleep problem can be solved by not using alcohol or sleep medicine, losing weight if you’re overweight and sleeping on your side, you will quickly begin to feel much more rested and energetic. If you must wear the mask while sleeping, you should soon feel the benefits. If you need surgery, you’ll be able to sleep better afterwards. Whatever your treatment, remember that you are not alone and help is available.
Related sleep apnea symptoms can include:
Loud snoring
Change in personality
Depression
Rapid weight gain
Reduced sex drive and impotence
High blood pressure
Restless sleep; the repeated struggle to breath can be associated with a great deal of movement.
Depressed mood and/or irritability
Snorting, gasping, choking during sleep
Insomnia
Frequent nocturnal urination
Confusion upon awakening
Difficulty concentrating
Morning headaches
Sleep that is not refreshing
Nocturnal snorting, gasping, choking (may wake self up)
High blood pressure
Overweight
Irritability
A dry mouth upon awakening
Excessive perspiring during sleep
Restless sleep
Heartburn
Sleep Apnea can be a very serious matter:
It is a potentially life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical attention. The risks of undiagnosed obstructive sleep apnea include heart attacks, strokes, impotence, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure and heart disease. In addition, obstructive sleep apnea causes daytime sleepiness that can result in accidents, lost productivity and interpersonal relationship problems. The severity of the symptoms may be mild, moderate or severe.
For many sleep apnea patients, their bed partners or family members are the first ones to suspect that something is wrong, usually from their heavy snoring and apparent struggle to breathe. Coworkers or friends of the sleep apnea victim may notice that the individual falls asleep during the day at inappropriate times (such as while driving a car, working, or talking).
During the apneic event, the person is unable to breathe in oxygen and to exhale carbon dioxide, resulting in low levels of oxygen and increased levels of carbon dioxide in the blood. The reduction in oxygen and increase in carbon dioxide alert the brain to resume breathing and cause an arousal. With each arousal, a signal is sent from the brain to the upper airway muscles to open the airway; breathing is resumed, often with a loud snort or gasp. Frequent arousals, although necessary for breathing to restart, prevent the patient from getting enough restorative, deep sleep.
For many cases of sleep apnea sickness, treatment often consists of avoiding sleeping on one’s back, even if you’re wearing a mask. To help aid in a comfortable sleep choose a pillow that allows you to sleep on your side, one that elevates your head and neck allowing your airway passage to open properly while sleeping. Using a sleep apnea pillow is an unconventional, however beneficial and inexpensive sleep apnea treatment.

First Pregnancy Sign Symptoms: are you Aware That you are Pregnant?
One of the first pregnancy sign symptoms is a missed menstrual period. Just in case you do not remember when you last menstruated, then look out for other pointers you may be pregnant. There are certain symptoms that may proclaim pregnancy even before you miss a period, and these are related to pregnancy hormones released into the body.
Indicators that you may be Pregnant
An early first pregnancy sign symptom is physical, a change in the way your breasts feel. Your breast may feel tender, may tingle, be sore, or else may feel fuller and heavier. As a result of the increased production of the hormones estrogen and progesterone, your breasts begin to grow and change in preparation for producing milk. The most dramatic change occurs when you’re pregnant for the first time. You may notice tiny spots around your nipples called tubercles. Watch out for them.
The first pregnancy sign syndrome is that dip in the energy levels throughout the period of being pregnant known as fatigue. During the early stage, your body is working hard by pumping out hormones and producing more blood to carry nutrients to the fetus. Your heart pumps harder and faster to accommodate the increased flow; combined with this are larger amounts of progesterone, which induce you to feel sleepy more often. Progesterone is a natural central nervous system depressant, and the feeling of being sapped of energy may persist well into the confident months. Or by the time you’re well settled into pregnancy.
Implantation bleeding is another sign of first pregnancy sign symptom and usually occurs within the first two weeks of fertilization. It happens when the fertilized egg attaches itself into the lining of the uterus and induces the body to shed a little blood, spottier and lighter than menstrual blood, and which is accompanied by cramping similar to menstrual cramps, as the uterus begins to enlarge.
Implantation bleeding together with nausea or morning sickness can account for a somewhat messy first pregnancy symptom//s. Morning sickness, occurring at any time of the day, appears to stem from the rapidly rising levels of estrogen produced by the placenta and the fetus. These hormones cause the stomach to empty somewhat more slowly, and are combined with the pregnant woman’s heightened sense of smell. So, a variety of odors — such as foods, the smell of cooking, coffee, perfume or cigarette smoke — can trigger nausea and cause you to vomit.
Frequent urination, headaches, constipation, mood swings, dizziness and a raised basal temperature are contributory indicators. More trips to the bathroom are triggered by the enlarging uterus pushing on to your bladder. Headaches are the result of increased blood circulation caused by pregnancy hormones. Constipation occurs because food is passing more slowly through the gastrointestinal tract, which causes digestion to slow down. Hormone related are the changes in the mood of the pregnant woman in the first trimester of pregnancy, which may range from elation to deep gloom. Finally, there is the matter of the raised basal body temperature, which is the oral temperature when you first wake up in the morning. This temperature increases slightly soon after ovulation and remains at that level until your next period, so this too is a key to a first pregnancy sign syndrome.
Together the first pregnancy symptoms may all signal you to visit the doctor even before you noticed you are missing a period.
