Very Early Symptoms of Pregnancy

You think you are pregnant and feel both lightheaded and emotionally high. While not confirming for certain, but these could be very early symptoms of pregnancy.

As soon as the first pregnancy hormones are released into your bloodstream, your body is affected by this chemical change as are your mind and the moods you experience. This is a chemical change and is the earliest indication to you that you may be pregnant.

A very early symptom is the sudden rise in your fatigue levels when all you want to do is put your feet up and lie down, doing nothing. There is the hormone progesterone, which reaches high blood levels during early pregnancy, a natural sedative. And which lulls pregnant women into wanting to fall asleep whenever they can. Sometimes increased vaginal secretions(discharge, leukorrhea) either clear, white, yellow, foamy or itchy, can cause a panic in you if didn’t suspect yourself of pregnancy. The chemical makeup as also the amount of your vaginal fluids is changing. This is your body’s means to build up extra mucus to block the opening of the cervix and protect your baby from infections and foreign bodies. While otherwise normal, you have to consult a health practitioner if this condition becomes significantly worse, begins to itch, smells bad or burns as these symptoms may indicate an infection. That way your early pregnancy status could confirm itself too.

Do you know the other signs are sometimes no different from when you are feeling ill – a missed or very light period, swelling or tenderness of the breasts, frequent urination, nausea or vomiting (morning sickness), increased or decreased appetite, food cravings and mood swings.

Deceptive Indicators Of Early Pregnancy

But are you willing to accept these early symptoms of pregnancy as the definitive guide to informing you are pregnant? We are not. These early indicators can be both elusive and deceptive, with even the most commonly accepted sign, the missed or very light period, is not an infallible indication. It’s possible to have all the above symptoms and not be pregnant. Or reveal none of these symptoms and find out you are pregnant.

A foolproof way of determining pregnancy early on is your baby’s heartbeat. The baby’s heartbeat can be heard at 10 to 12 weeks with ultrasound or at 18 to 20 weeks with a stethoscope.

Once you have experienced the symptoms of pregnancy, you will want to confirm it with a visit to the healthcare provider or the general practitioner. These days, pregnancy tests are now an accurate way of confirming pregnancy; many tests are, in fact, almost entirely accurate, but you may need to wait a number of days after your period is due before it can detect pregnancy. There are early pregnancy tests available that can accurately determine your pregnant status for you. These tests work by determining the amount of hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) present in your urine. Early morning urine, which contains the most concentrated amount of hcg, will help you to detect the small concentrations of hCG that are present in the early days of pregnancy.

If the GP has confirmed that your early symptoms of pregnancy actually spell pregnancy, it is time to start your pre-natal care.

What causes morning sickness in pregnancy?

I have had four healthy pregnancies and gave birth at age 18, 19, 20 and 21. I never experienced a day of morning sickness. Now, at age 38, I am wondering if I become pregnant, if will I go through this?

The hormone HCG which is produced when the embryo implants into the uterin wall is what makes you sick. This hormone doubles every 48 hours which for some people is hard on their body (and their stomachs). Just because you had 4 pregnancies with no sickness does not mean you will have a 5th just like it, or vice versa.

Early Pregnancy Symptom – Easy Identification of Pregnancy

Early pregnancy Symptom refers to the sign that indicates whether a woman is pregnant or not. Irrespective of the fact whether you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, you always wish to know the reality at the earliest. Early pregnancy symptom becomes important when one does not have the enough patience of waiting up to the menstruation period. These kinds of women find it difficult to wait after the ovulation and they wish to know whether they are having pregnancy or not.

Body Is An Excellent Indicator Of The Pregnancy
These impatient people may surprise to know that their body indicates early pregnancy symptom. With a careful observation of the pregnancy week by week you will find that the body is really an excellent indicator of the pregnancy. However, early pregnancy symptom begins to appear at different times in different women. According to the pregnancy journal in some women early pregnancy symptom may appear within few days after the conception. On the other hand, it may take few weeks before appearing in some other cases.

Nausea Or Vomiting
Nausea or vomiting is one early pregnancy symptom that appears in the very early stages of the pregnancy. This is also known more popularly as morning sickness. There are instances when this early pregnancy symptom occurred so early that the women could not realize it and thought that this is happening because of the food poisoning or cold effect. Nausea happens because the ability of sensing the smell and taste of the pregnant women gets increased and she can feel the sensation of nausea even with the smell of tea and coffee.

Increases Frequency of Urination
Frequent urination is another early pregnancy symptom. This symptom also appears in the early stages of the pregnancy. In most of the cases frequent urination starts within one week of getting pregnant. You may have to go to the toilet again and again even during the night. In addition, you will observe that you are getting tired much early as compared to when you were normal.

Breast Enlargement And Missed Period
One more early pregnancy symptom is enlargement of the size of the breast and nipples. This is very common symptom and most of the women also report tenderness of the breast when they get pregnant. This very early symptom is an indication that the body is getting ready for the breastfeeding. On most of the occasions when any woman misses her period then it works as an early pregnancy symptom for her. However, during the period of the pregnancy you may feel sudden and painful tightening of the muscles giving you the sensation that the period is about to come. Along with this cramping of the muscles you will also experience back pain during this period.

Pregnancy Tips: Nutritional Diet and Prenatal Vitamins

Congratulations! In nine months you’re going to be a mother, BUT it will never be an easy task. Your body will physically experience changes, your moods will swing, your senses will be sharp, and you’ll crave for a lot of things — and food.

As an expecting mother, what you EAT matters to your unborn baby as he or she is dependent on you for nourishment. In pregnancy check-ups, your doctor might tell you this mantra: you are what you eat, and what your baby eats. Clinical studies show that what you eat has a connection to your baby’s health and growth, which is why during pregnancy, it is essential that you make “healthy food choices” and “healthy habits”. Healthy habits like exercising, “quitting on smoking and alcohol,” and taking up pregnancy vitamins are as essential as eating nutritional diet.

In the beginning of your pregnancy, you will experience adjustments significantly about food. And since you are eating for two, you will be eating twice the serving of your usual food intake, or in a more-frequent-basis.

Pregnancy Nutrition

Eating the right means knowing what foods to eat and what to avoid. Ideally, as an expecting mother you need 300 extra calories a day in addition to your recommended daily calorie intakes or allowances.

When you strictly follow a healthy pregnancy nutrition diet, as recommended by your doctor, it can counteract the baby’s risks low birth weight, susceptibility to infections and birth defects. On your side, following the recommended diet can provide positive effects against fatigue, morning sickness, constipation, leg cramps and later on an easy child birth and post-partum depression.

For pregnant mothers, the USDA approved Food Guide Pyramid and Dietary Reference Intakes should strive to consume the following servings: 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice and pasta; 3-5 servings of vegetables; 2-4 servings of fruits; 3-5 servings of milk, yoghurt and cheese; 2-3 servings of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs and nuts; 8 8-ounce glasses of water; You should also limit caffeine containing beverages to no more than 2 cups per day.

Nevertheless, try to consume — in moderation — foods groups rich in protein, carbohydrates, fats and Protein and Amino Acids is the building material for muscles, teeth and bones; and instrumental in normal growth patterns (build and repair cells) and immune system antibodies. Minerals, like Calcium and Zinc, are critical to maintaining healthy bones and promote healing and easy delivery, and like Iron, which supports blood circulation.

Foods to AVOID are those that has risky levels of mercury like swordfish, shark meats, mackerels, and others that might put you and your baby at risk of bacteria-related problems like raw

Pregnancy Vitamins

Prenatal supplements provide extra nutrients and boosts for expecting mothers. Pregnancy vitamins like Folate/ Folic Acid can minimize risks of hemorrhoids and constipation, or alleviate nausea or vomiting due to morning sickness.

There are literally dozens of prenatal supplement brands available. Don’t buy impulsively. Ask your doctor. Every woman has different needs. For example, an expecting woman has anemic tendencies; her doctor might prescribe her to take iron supplements.

To give you an idea, these are the ideal vitamins and minerals supplements you need while expecting: Vitamin A: 4,000 to 5,000 International Units (IU); Folic Acid (Folate): 600-1000 micrograms (mcg); Vitamin D: 200-400 IU; Calcium: 200-300 milligrams (mg); Vitamin C: 85 mg; Thiamin: 1.4 mg; Riboflavin: 1.4 mg; Vitamin B-6 (Pyridoxine): 1.9 mg; Vitamin B-3 (Niacin): 18 mg; Vitamin B-12: 2.6 mcg; Vitamin E: 15 mg; Zinc: 11 mg; Iron: 27-60 mg.

Pregnancy Reminders

Follow your doctor’s instruction throughout pregnancy. Take your pregnancy vitamins each day or as required by your doctor. Should you have concerns about your pregnancy, ask and discuss with your doctor.
