What exactly does pregnancy nausea feel like?

Can you get the nausea without throwing up?

Its different for everybody, but for me I had one really bad bout before I knew I was preg, I was cooking hubby some eggs and got really hot and dizzy and sick feeling I couldnt make it to the bathroom without blacking out so I laid across the bed for a while until I could stand again and drank some milk……….. However the real morning sickness for ME didnt start until about 3 weeks later about 6 or 7 weeks preg, then I couldnt look at, smell, or eat ANYTHING for 4 months…. mostly it was when my stomach would get empty the acid would bother me which was bad cause when my stomach was EMPTY i couldnt eat at allllllllll…..

Trick for me was to always eat something like crackers or pb toast, or drink some milk, at least like every 20 minutes during the day and as soon as I woke up, after throwing up first thing of course. :)

Oh and I ALWAYS felt MUCH WORSE when I skipped, forgot, or couldnt keep down my prenatals so make sure you take them every day.

It feels like normal nausea, only it’s often triggered by even slightly offensive odors, as well as feeling dizzy.

When you are nauseated when pregnant, the smell of food normally causes you to be sick. For some women, they don’t get nausea at all, they are lucky. For most, it can be the smell of food or the smell of anything that can set you off. For me, it was the smell of my husband when he came home from work everyday. It was bad and lasted 5 months. Good Luck!!

It’s being sick yet feeling fine.
You find yourself getting nausea and having to throw up and then after vomiting, you feel perfectly fine until you get that feeling again.
You have no other symptoms like you would with the flu. With the flu you might feel real achy all over and have a fever. With pregnancy, you feel fine except having to throw up once in a while.

    Awful.
Like constantly being carsick with bouts of vomiting. Never morning sickness, just constant all day nausia. Not all people go through this though. It lasted for 7 months before letting up but not going away entirely. Due to this, my daughter is an only child.

The way I discribe it to people is like motion sickness – if u’ve ever felt sea sick or sick in a car – it felt like that for me…and was constant but didnt always make me throw up.
I find saying motion sickness is something 99% of people, male and female can relate to – only chicks who’ve been through it know what "morning sickness" is really like!

I have had different nausea with all my pregnancies! The first one was just morning and A LOT of vomiting, my second was constant and just like I got of a wizzy diz but no vomiting, My third was mild but unpredictable ( could vomit at anytime or just feel like I would) and this one is like being over full but hungry at the same time and just generally off colour! Any thing goes with pregnancy!!

It is the worst feeling EVER! Constant headaches, a knot and sick feeling in your tummy and always tired! Its so bad i never got out of bed for 3 weeks straight. If i actually got up to get a shower to go somewhere it would just wear me out again and i’d get back in bed. I recommend the sea bands that go around your wrists, idk why but it would make me not throw up, just feel sick still but it was better. Its just miserable : (
